The concept of fighting up front. What does this mean and how can we do it?

In grad school, I specialized in adult psychopathology and forensics. One key learning from my time in forensics was about self-defense: if someone tries to kidnap you, your best chance is to resist right away. Once inside their vehicle and taken somewhere unknown, things could get worse unpredictably.

This idea made me think about early conversations and collaborations as being crucial for addressing problems before they escalate into bigger conflicts. So just like resisting a kidnapper at first sight rather than ending up in an unknown dangerous place, it’s better to address issues early on instead of letting them grow into larger problems.
